Latest Reviews of Rehabs in Barboursville, VA
Great client focused, multiple treatment methods Not quite able to address multiple issues (eating disorders and substance abuse and mental health Good, clean facility, caring staff)
Fellow recovering addicts as staff who "get it" Not very individualized Treatment offers the opportunity to be in a safe environment with other recovering addicts so there us a mutual respect and understanding of what each other are going thru.
I think the treatment is pretty effective. The program is for women and children, reuniting moms with their children who are in foster care or unborn. A lot of parenting skills are emphasized and a lot of families are reunited. We allow mothers to have their children in treatment with them. This is especially important for pregnant women with a history of using. Their baby would be removed at birth in most cases. By coming into treatment prior to giving birth, most of our babies are born drug free. The mother can return to the facility with her child and the support of our staff. We have an onsite pediatric nurse and a licensed nursery. We encourage breast feeding and bonding. Most of these women do not have a clue about being a mother and are eager to learn. Due to budget constraints we are unable to offer many "extra" curricular activities for the women. We do have yoga and acupuncture but there are so many cultural events that happen in our city that it would be awesome to expose these women to but this is beyond our budget.
