Rose Rock Recovery Center

Strengths: Focus on source of problems and not the negative coping mechanisms we were abusing. Specifically focused on woman's issues. Weaknesses: No sugar or pop.It is a long term 3-6 month program where you and your fellow clients will work together to help and keep each other accountable. The facilitators and counselors are genuine honest woman who are in recovery themselves and truly care about helping.

Discovery Point Retreat

My son came into this facility after having a seizure. He was withdrawing from benzos. I was worried about his health as you would imagine. They safely detoxed him before putting him in their treatment programs. I noticed a difference in my son just after a month.

Founder The Raleigh House of Hope

Hi, I’m Eric Lapp, the Founder and CEO of the Raleigh House. Just this year, we’ve celebrated our 10th year of serving our community. One thing I’ve learned after working with over a thousand families is that substance abuse devastates families. It destroys lives but most importantly, people do recover and families get better. Long ago I discovered that addiction stems from years of LIFE and it is just a symptom of something more going on. We didn’t cause it but it is our job to figure out how to live a healthy life. The Raleigh House takes a multifaceted approach to treating addiction but first we have to understand the contributing factors of why and how it exists in the first place. At The Raleigh House we are careful to understand what is driving the substance use and the behaviors. We understand that addiction in some cases is a family disease, patterns and behaviors started at a young age that later manifested as problematic substance use and mood irregularities. In order to treat the desire to use, drink and act out unhealthy behaviors we have to grasp the entire picture. What was the childhood like, was there enough attention, was there enough love and nurture, what about support and discipline? Was there space to make choices, was there guidance if there was a better decision? Where did it come from and what prohibitin advancement in life. At The Raleigh House our job is to raise awareness and begin the transformational process, your job is to keep it!

Facts about Bettendorf Treatment Centers Drugs and alcohol are gradually becoming acceptable norms in American culture, provided the person using does so in moderation. Drug rehab programs are experienced in helping people who started out using in "moderation" and ended up becoming addicted to a drug. For those addicted in Bettendorf, rehab can make the difference between serious health, relationship and finance issues and a life of balance and hope.

Find out the facts about addiction and available treatment options so you'll have the information needed to make an informed decision.

The Importance of Getting All Co-Occurring Issues Treated

Co-occurring conditions involve a substance abuse problem combined with a physical or psychological condition, such as diabetes or depression. While getting help for a drug addiction is absolutely necessary, other untreated conditions can actually work against any progress made within a drug treatment program. It's not uncommon for someone to try to self-medicate in an attempt to relieve symptoms from an untreated condition. So someone with a hyperactivity disorder can easily turn to alcohol or marijuana in order to calm down.

Getting treatment for any and all conditions a person may have ensures the best chance for a successful recovery process.

Negative Effects of Drug Addiction

With or without a co-occurring condition, someone battling drug or alcohol addiction will most likely see negative effects of ongoing use in one or more areas of their life. According to the American Society of Addiction Medicine, areas most affected by addiction include:

  • A person's physical health
  • Personal relationships
  • Family relationships
  • Destructive behavior changes
  • Financial management
  • Work or school productivity
