Patel Ranjan PSY.D- MFT

Been doing telemedicine with her for a while, and due to finances, I wanted very short term therapy and though I tried to pin her down on how many sessions I'd need, she refused to give me that, which looking back, I understand. Lucky for me, I was in and out in eight visits, which my work covered partially. I was initially on the fence about seeing her because of her fee (she's more expensive than the other therapist I checked with), but I went with my gut because when I talked to her over the phone, she not only took her time and spent as long as I needed, for free, but she actively told me that she encouraged me to reach out to other therapists so I wouldn't haveI've to pay more than I'm comfortable with, she gave me some referrals. But I decided to see her and it's been worth it; she gives assignments and structure because I asked for it, and also talked to my psychiatrist, which helped me feel like I have a team.

An Overview on Broomfield Treatment Facilities
A large suburb of Denver, Broomfield is known for its open spaces, its sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains and the rapid growth of its technological centers. In spite of Colorado’s healthy outdoor lifestyle, Broomfield drug rehab has become more important than ever since a 2009 survey revealed that the state has higher-than-average rates of substance abuse. Is Substance Abuse on the Rise in Colorado?

The rise of alcohol and drug abuse in Colorado is a cause for concern throughout the state. In 2011 the Denver Post reported that:

  • Rates of marijuana, cocaine and alcohol abuse in Colorado are higher than the rest of the country.
  • The number of young people who reported using marijuana in the past year has increased.
  • The number of respondents who reported binge drinking in the past month is higher than the national average.
  • The rates of depression and suicidal thoughts are higher than average.

Advice on Selecting a Treatment Program

Selecting the best treatment program for your circumstances may be the most important decision you make about your health. When you’re ready to seek treatment for chemical dependence, look for a program that provides a range of psychosocial and pharmaceutical recovery services. Beating an addiction to alcohol, cocaine or marijuana requires more than one coping mechanism. In addition to counseling and group therapy, you may need medication therapy to fight cravings for opiates or alcohol.
