Discovery Point Retreat

They Accomadated every need for My Son from Day he made his decision to seek help. He flew to Texas and was picked up at the airport by staff. I was allowed to see him the very next day, visitation were just about over but they let us have a visit anyways. Rooms are spacious and may not be a facility as someone stated but the House is Large, spacious, clean, and just has that home, secure, quiet, inviting feel. The are is perfect quiet and serene. Therapy and couseling on site my son loved everything about the way the had control of everything that was in his best interest. The staff, The Chef, The People i always knew how his progress was coming along and even included in therapy sessions. My son understand about addiction, the triggers, the control and the reason and maintains his sobriety, contact with others that were also in treatment with him, He considers all of them as family. Everyone there made him feel so comfortable, important and loved. At check out it took us all day for him to get everything together because he was truly going to miss Everything and Everyone, ( The Food) The outings, The Therapy, The couseling . The Owners, Management, The Staff I commend on The excellent job they are doing The are all Truly a Blessing. Strengths: Their knowledge in all areas of helping everyone. Knowing exactly what each persons individual needs are from The addiction ,the emotional, therapeutic, dietary. Weakness: Sober Living facility. I think my son was probably sent to the worst one. Was told he had to have a job within 2 weeks or going to be kicked out while another individual was there before him, still there and still unemployed. My son working 3rd shift going to sleep at 6 a.m. was woken up anyways for meditation at 7 even though he just worked at 12 hour shifts ( inconsiderate) people were eating his groceries. And managers of the house had dogs and dog hair everywhere and were offended that he mention about the dogs being all over furniture. Cardinal House of Dalls/Garland definitely Not recommended and was really in awe that Discovery Point Retreat would even be affiliated with a place like that. That would be the only negative on them with me.

Exploring Caldwell Rehabilitation Programs Caldwell, Idaho and the state of Idaho as a whole have drug use statistics that are below the national average. There are no drug trafficking areas in the state. Marijuana is the state's biggest drug problem. Nearly half of the state's treatment admissions in 2009 were for marijuana abuse. There are numerous drug courts and drug-free coalitions throughout the state to keep youth away from drugs and help rehabilitate the ones whose addiction causes them legal problems. What to Bring to Treatment Facilities Comfortable shoes are a must for your stay in a treatment facility. Tennis shoes and flip flops are generally allowed in most facilities. Slippers are also a necessity for those cool nights when you may be walking around or meeting with others. Your treatment facility may also engage in hikes, so you may need hiking boots as well. Check with the facility before packing. Most facilities are casual environments, so you can likely leave the high heels and dress shoes at home. *Morphine Facts Morphine is a powerful painkiller when used in small doses. However, it is abused by many. Here are some facts about the drug:
  • It produces euphoria and is highly effective in relieving pain.
  • It is easily abused and highly addictive.
  • Morphine was used during war to treat soldiers.
  • Morphine is a narcotic, and heroin comes from morphine.
