Discovery Point Retreat

They Accomadated every need for My Son from Day he made his decision to seek help. He flew to Texas and was picked up at the airport by staff. I was allowed to see him the very next day, visitation were just about over but they let us have a visit anyways. Rooms are spacious and may not be a facility as someone stated but the House is Large, spacious, clean, and just has that home, secure, quiet, inviting feel. The are is perfect quiet and serene. Therapy and couseling on site my son loved everything about the way the had control of everything that was in his best interest. The staff, The Chef, The People i always knew how his progress was coming along and even included in therapy sessions. My son understand about addiction, the triggers, the control and the reason and maintains his sobriety, contact with others that were also in treatment with him, He considers all of them as family. Everyone there made him feel so comfortable, important and loved. At check out it took us all day for him to get everything together because he was truly going to miss Everything and Everyone, ( The Food) The outings, The Therapy, The couseling . The Owners, Management, The Staff I commend on The excellent job they are doing The are all Truly a Blessing. Strengths: Their knowledge in all areas of helping everyone. Knowing exactly what each persons individual needs are from The addiction ,the emotional, therapeutic, dietary. Weakness: Sober Living facility. I think my son was probably sent to the worst one. Was told he had to have a job within 2 weeks or going to be kicked out while another individual was there before him, still there and still unemployed. My son working 3rd shift going to sleep at 6 a.m. was woken up anyways for meditation at 7 even though he just worked at 12 hour shifts ( inconsiderate) people were eating his groceries. And managers of the house had dogs and dog hair everywhere and were offended that he mention about the dogs being all over furniture. Cardinal House of Dalls/Garland definitely Not recommended and was really in awe that Discovery Point Retreat would even be affiliated with a place like that. That would be the only negative on them with me.

I worked for this company many years ago and trying to see if it is still in business. I loved working here.

Rose Rock Recovery Center

Strengths: Focus on source of problems and not the negative coping mechanisms we were abusing. Specifically focused on woman's issues. Weaknesses: No sugar or pop.It is a long term 3-6 month program where you and your fellow clients will work together to help and keep each other accountable. The facilitators and counselors are genuine honest woman who are in recovery themselves and truly care about helping.

Selecting Cambridge Treatment Programs
Are you scared that a drug overdose will overtake your loved one before you have a chance to help them enroll in a Cambridge drug rehab? It’s a viable concern. The White House Massachusetts Drug Control Update reports that more than 1,000 people died in Massachusetts in 2007 as a direct result of drug abuse. It’s a number that is alarming for many reasons, including the fact that it exceeds the number of people who lost their lives due to car accident (450) and firearm accident (235) put together in 2007. It’s also a rate that is higher than the national average at about 15.6 per 100,000 in the population – the national average is 12.7 per 100,000 in the population.

The moral of the story? You have every reason to be worried for your loved one’s life if he or she is actively addicted to or abusing drugs or alcohol. But our addiction treatment counselors are available at the number listed above to help you find a drug rehab in Cambridge that can effectively treat your loved one today. Call now.

Advice on Going to Rehab

When you contact our counselors at the number above, what information should you have handy in order to expedite the process of locating comprehensive care for your loved one? Being able to provide the following information will help your counselor to more effectively guide you in your choice in treatment:

  • Your loved one’s history with drugs and alcohol (e.g., his drug of choice, the amount he uses daily, other substances of abuse, etc.)
  • Your loved one’s history with drug abuse treatment
  • Your loved one’s mental health issues, if any
  • Your family’s needs in terms of support during your loved one’s recovery

If your loved one has tried a certain kind of treatment before and been unsuccessful, if family financial resources are limited or if your loved one has a preference for a certain kind of treatment, all of this can be factored in as your counselor locates the best possible treatment program for your family.
