Pine Manor Inc - Chemical Dependency Services

I don't discredit the facility entirely, I just disagree with some views and the way some things are presented. Their employees see m to care for those being treated and many have overcome addictions as well. I do feel, however, that the patients in the faculty should be helped to feel in control of their lives. Less like powerless victims of their chosen substances, and more like wise beings in control of their bodies and their urges/addictions. I know it's not an easy thing to overcome by any means, but I also knowthat my father came out of the facility with a handful of excuses for the things he'd done, the reasons for his addictions, and its result it had on our family and other loved ones. He learned that it was not his fault that he turned to drugs and alcohol to begin with, that he kept going back to them orr that he just couldn't quit. He believed that the only reason he became who he was, was because of the childhood he had. The very things he described as leading to his addictions are the very same things he afflicted onto me, without the added events of a parent or relative abusing (sexually, mentally, and verbally) him. These factors were brought up in a family treatment session, where the counselor had him apologize to me, but explain that his actions were not his fault, but his addiction's fault. But I begged the counselor to answer that if the events of his childhood made him powerless to addiction, and I had the same events and more unfold, an addictive personality and access to the same drugs and alcohol my father was addicted to and had offered me, then how was I not as powerless to them when I was not only weak, but they had been forced upon me? I know it's a long ramble, but in short, the facility was very quick to help my father release him from his guilt and tell him "relapse is going to happen, and that's ok, because it isn't your fault. You're addiction controls you and there is little you can do about it but believe in god."

Discovery Point was nothing short of a life changing experience. These are truly a group of people who genuinely care about your Recovery. The friends I made while during my stay I still talk to daily and we support each other and have friendships that will last forever. The food is really good so hats off to the chefs! The house is really comfortable and always clean. I truly was able to find myself because I was lost and broken but now I am centered and sober and taking big steps in life! I highly recommend this spot if you want to help yourself and start recovering. Thank you Discovery Point for changing my life. I love you guys!

Info on Carpentersville Rehab Programs
It’s easy to believe that addictions only happen in Chicago and other large cities in Illinois, and that there’s no reason for Carpentersville drug rehab programs to exist. The fact is, however, that addictions can happen almost anywhere, and there are some people in Carpentersville who are headed down the path to addiction. That’s the only way to explain news reports of drug busts in and around Carpentersville. Why would people be caught with heroin and other contraband drugs in the town unless they had willing buyers for those materials?

If you’re addicted to drugs, Carpentersville drug treatment programs can provide you with the help you’ll need in order to beat your addiction and get back on your feet again. Finding the right program can be remarkably easy.

The Difference Between Holistic and Traditional Treatment Services

In order to choose the right program to meet your needs, you’ll need to learn a little more about the vocabulary addiction experts use. For example, some programs market their services by saying they provide “holistic” care. In essence, this means that these programs will look at your addiction in the context of your entire life, and they may provide you with therapies that could help you to:

  • Find a job
  • Become a better parent
  • Learn to control your temper
  • Find a safe place to live

Is Holistic for Me?

There’s no shame in signing up for more traditional forms of care. In fact, you may prefer to work within a program that provides you with medications and traditional therapy. The choice is entirely up to you.
