ViewPoint Rehabilitation Center

The staff was amazing! They all cared about how I was doing. They are understanding of some of the struggles I was going through. And always made time for me. They were was on top of all my after care plans making sure everything was set up for me when I got home. They were always there if I needed to talk. One staff member had a way to make me feel ok even when I had bad anxiety. His guitar playing was awesome! There were very understanding of some of the issues I was going through at home. Another staff member was very positive and upbeat and made me feel welcome. I gained the skills I needed to return home stay sober, feel alive, and really enjoy my recovery! I thank God for all of them. In their own ways they all helped in saving my life. The mindfulness counseling gave me the courage to face some very difficult situations when I arrived home. I continue to use these practices in my daily life and its made me a very grounded and thankful person!

Exploring Clovis Recovery Centers A person can become addicted to a legally prescribed drug just as easily as with a street drug. Clovis residents can find drug rehab programs that are experienced in working through different types of addiction problems and personal circumstances.

Exploring available treatment options in your area can make it easier to decide when and where to get help with an addiction issue.

Getting Help for All Co-Occurring Conditions

According to the Clovis News Journal, the lack of mental health treatment providers remains an ongoing problem in Clovis. This is unfortunate as many people who experience addiction or withdrawal symptoms may actually be experiencing symptoms of a mental disorder. The effects of ongoing drug use on a mental condition can actually worsen the symptoms associated with a mental disorder. So it's important to get treatment for any existing mental conditions, such as depression or anxiety, when seeking help for a drug or alcohol problem.

Effects of Drug Addiction on Children

While no one intends for children to be affected by drug abuse, children of parents struggling with addiction problems are no doubt affected. According to the Child Welfare League of America, rates of drug abuse among children are as follows:

  • As of 2006, 23.6 million children aged 12 or older suffered from drug abuse problems.
  • Only 2.5 million of those affected actually received drug treatment help.
  • Addiction problems are present in nearly 80 percent of all families involved in the child welfare system.
  • Children affected by parental addiction problems are more likely to be placed in foster care
