They charge thousands for basic care. Unnecessary. I completed my treatment, then attended outpatient therapy.

Discovery Point Retreat

This was the first rehab that I went to and I am glad to say that this will probably be my last. It was great that this facility had detox and all the other levels of care since many of my friends had to go to 2 separate places. It was really a comfortable and enjoyable place to be at.

An Overview on Eden Prairie Recovery Centers
Eden Prairie drug treatment centers provide a vital service for people who want to regain control of their lives from addiction. In November of 2011, police arrested a woman on third-degree murder charges for giving her husband a lethal amount of heroin, according to the Eden Prairie News. The dose was lethal because it was her husband’s first time ever trying the drug.

If you or someone you know in Eden Prairie is struggling with drug addiction, entering a drug recovery program is one of the best decisions you can make for your life.

Questions to Answer Before Going to Rehabilitation Treatment

If you have a full-time job and family responsibilities, you may be wondering how you can possibly make time to get the help you need for an addiction problem. Scheduling concerns are common, especially in cases where detox treatment is needed. Rehab center staff can help you figure out how to coordinate work schedules with your employer so you don’t have to worry about losing your job while you’re in treatment. You can also ask treatment center staff questions about how family members can become involved in your recovery process.

The Recovery Process

Depending on where a person is at in the addiction cycle, recovery can be a fairly straightforward process once their mind is made up. According to the University of Delaware, the recovery process consists of four stages:

  • Recognition – where a person admits they have a problem with drugs or alcohol
  • Drug detox – also known as “going cold turkey” or cleaning out all traces of drugs from the body
  • Rehabilitation – learning new ways to cope with daily stressors and personal life issues
  • Abstinence – remaining drug-free

Picking Treatment Centers in Eden Prairie

Different types of addictions may call for different treatment approaches, so keep this in mind as you compare the various treatment programs in Eden Prairie. Someone with a methamphetamine addiction may require more intensive care than someone with a marijuana addiction. Some treatment programs are better prepared to handle certain addiction than others, so make sure any programs you’re considering have experience in working with certain drug or alcohol addictions.
