Discovery Point Retreat

This was the first rehab that I went to and I am glad to say that this will probably be my last. It was great that this facility had detox and all the other levels of care since many of my friends had to go to 2 separate places. It was really a comfortable and enjoyable place to be at.

An Examination of Erie Treatment Centers
Past-month and past-year rates of marijuana abuse have been higher among Pennsylvania residents than the national average, according to Pennsylvania Substance Abuse and Mental Health Issues At-A-Glance published by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). It’s a problem that’s pushing families in Pennsylvania to look for an Erie drug rehab – especially when marijuana abuse occurs in combination with use of other substances.

Are you fighting drug dependence in Erie? Or does someone you love need treatment? Whether it’s marijuana, prescription painkillers, alcohol or a combination of substances, you can find the help you need to heal when you contact us today.

Advice on Enrolling Into Treatment

Some substances, like marijuana and prescription drugs, are perceived as harmless by the public for various reasons. Unfortunately, each can become serious hazards depending upon:

  • The circumstances in which they are used
  • The amount used
  • Other drugs used in combination
  • The existence of co-occurring mental health issues

Teenagers can develop a dependency upon marijuana that stays with them for the rest of their lives. Patients who have a painkiller prescription can inadvertently overdose when they take the drug with alcohol or another medication. One family in Erie, PA suffered the loss of their father and husband when he became addicted to prescription painkillers after first abusing a legitimate prescription given to him by a doctor. The dangers of abuse of any illicit substance are real, and the cost is far too high to ignore.
