I think the treatment is pretty effective. The program is for women and children, reuniting moms with their children who are in foster care or unborn. Due to budget constraints we are unable to offer many "extra" curricular activities for the women. We do have yoga and acupuncture but there are so many cultural events that happen in our city that it would be awesome to expose these women to but this is beyond our budget.

Prior to joining us at LCOH, Dr. Cabansag trained as an Addiction Medicine Fellow at Cincinnati VAMC / University of Cincinnati, which was one of only 10 such fellowships to be recognized by the American Board of Addiction Medicine in their 2011 inaugural accreditations. While there, he received extensive training in substance use disorders, particularly in opioid, tobacco and alcohol use disorders.
