Discovery Point Retreat

They Accomadated every need for My Son from Day he made his decision to seek help. He flew to Texas and was picked up at the airport by staff. I was allowed to see him the very next day, visitation were just about over but they let us have a visit anyways. Rooms are spacious and may not be a facility as someone stated but the House is Large, spacious, clean, and just has that home, secure, quiet, inviting feel. The are is perfect quiet and serene. Therapy and couseling on site my son loved everything about the way the had control of everything that was in his best interest. The staff, The Chef, The People i always knew how his progress was coming along and even included in therapy sessions. My son understand about addiction, the triggers, the control and the reason and maintains his sobriety, contact with others that were also in treatment with him, He considers all of them as family. Everyone there made him feel so comfortable, important and loved. At check out it took us all day for him to get everything together because he was truly going to miss Everything and Everyone, ( The Food) The outings, The Therapy, The couseling . The Owners, Management, The Staff I commend on The excellent job they are doing The are all Truly a Blessing. Strengths: Their knowledge in all areas of helping everyone. Knowing exactly what each persons individual needs are from The addiction ,the emotional, therapeutic, dietary. Weakness: Sober Living facility. I think my son was probably sent to the worst one. Was told he had to have a job within 2 weeks or going to be kicked out while another individual was there before him, still there and still unemployed. My son working 3rd shift going to sleep at 6 a.m. was woken up anyways for meditation at 7 even though he just worked at 12 hour shifts ( inconsiderate) people were eating his groceries. And managers of the house had dogs and dog hair everywhere and were offended that he mention about the dogs being all over furniture. Cardinal House of Dalls/Garland definitely Not recommended and was really in awe that Discovery Point Retreat would even be affiliated with a place like that. That would be the only negative on them with me.

Rose Rock Recovery Center

Strengths: Focus on source of problems and not the negative coping mechanisms we were abusing. Specifically focused on woman's issues. Weaknesses: No sugar or pop.It is a long term 3-6 month program where you and your fellow clients will work together to help and keep each other accountable. The facilitators and counselors are genuine honest woman who are in recovery themselves and truly care about helping.

A Look at Lakewood Rehab Programs Ohio has an opiate abuse epidemic that is out of control. In 2009, heroin and prescription painkillers accounted for 40 percent of Ohio's total number of overdose deaths. Opiate abuse is in part to blame for rising health care costs. The medical expenses of an opiate abuser are eight times the amount than the expenses of a non-user. This example shows how drug abuse affects everyone, not just drug users. That is why it is important to implement programs to get drugs off the street so they are not readily available.

Rehab programs are also essential in getting drug abusers the help they need to overcome their addiction.

Kinds of Rehab Options

Behavioral treatments are effective in determining the underlying reason for the drug abuse. They determine how ready a person is to give up drug use permanently. They also help modify behavior toward drug use by recognizing drug abuse situations and learning to avoid them. Behavioral treatments may also include motivational behaviors, which are similar to incentives, to discourage drug use. They also give patients the confidence and tools needed to stay sober for the rest of their lives.

Staying Sober Through Time Management Strategies

After spending lots of time acquiring and using drugs, former drug users may have a lot of time on their hands after quitting their addiction. Here are some ways they can manage their newfound time:

  • Don't overwork yourself.
  • Find new hobbies.
  • Use a planner.
  • Don't try to do everything in one day.
Researching Treatment Facilities in Lakewood

Nothing is more important than your health. Give us a call today and we can find a recovery option to fit your lifestyle.
