Sojourn House

Rigid schedule . Too far from home to be able to visit regularly on the scheduled visit days once a week. Son was court ordered to go to Sojourn House for treatment. We were pleased with the staff there. Things were explained to us well.

Rose Rock Recovery Center

Strengths: Focus on source of problems and not the negative coping mechanisms we were abusing. Specifically focused on woman's issues. Weaknesses: No sugar or pop.It is a long term 3-6 month program where you and your fellow clients will work together to help and keep each other accountable. The facilitators and counselors are genuine honest woman who are in recovery themselves and truly care about helping.

Discovery Point Retreat

They Accomadated every need for My Son from Day he made his decision to seek help. He flew to Texas and was picked up at the airport by staff. I was allowed to see him the very next day, visitation were just about over but they let us have a visit anyways. Rooms are spacious and may not be a facility as someone stated but the House is Large, spacious, clean, and just has that home, secure, quiet, inviting feel. The are is perfect quiet and serene. Therapy and couseling on site my son loved everything about the way the had control of everything that was in his best interest. The staff, The Chef, The People i always knew how his progress was coming along and even included in therapy sessions. My son understand about addiction, the triggers, the control and the reason and maintains his sobriety, contact with others that were also in treatment with him, He considers all of them as family. Everyone there made him feel so comfortable, important and loved. At check out it took us all day for him to get everything together because he was truly going to miss Everything and Everyone, ( The Food) The outings, The Therapy, The couseling . The Owners, Management, The Staff I commend on The excellent job they are doing The are all Truly a Blessing. Strengths: Their knowledge in all areas of helping everyone. Knowing exactly what each persons individual needs are from The addiction ,the emotional, therapeutic, dietary. Weakness: Sober Living facility. I think my son was probably sent to the worst one. Was told he had to have a job within 2 weeks or going to be kicked out while another individual was there before him, still there and still unemployed. My son working 3rd shift going to sleep at 6 a.m. was woken up anyways for meditation at 7 even though he just worked at 12 hour shifts ( inconsiderate) people were eating his groceries. And managers of the house had dogs and dog hair everywhere and were offended that he mention about the dogs being all over furniture. Cardinal House of Dalls/Garland definitely Not recommended and was really in awe that Discovery Point Retreat would even be affiliated with a place like that. That would be the only negative on them with me.

Info on Lenexa Rehabilitation Clinics
Lenexa drug rehab centers offer help for those who want to break the hold of alcohol and drugs on their life. Lenexa, Kansas – situated just south of Kansas City – is located in one of the few states that prohibit bars and restaurants from offering happy hour promotions for alcohol. As of July 2012, this ban on happy hour promotions was lifted, according to The Kansan news site. This may not bode well for Lenexa residents who struggle with alcohol addictions. Fortunately, there’s help for those who want to overcome addiction.
Determining the Cost of Recovery
Making the decision to get help for an addiction problem takes a lot of heart and a strong desire to make a change for the better. Dealing with the costs of recovery is a very real issue that can prevent a person from getting the help they need. While money concerns can be a determining factor, it’s important for you to exhaust every available option in terms of financial assistance before deciding against certain treatment programs. In effect, the cost of not entering a recovery program can far outweigh the monetary costs involved.

Ultimately, recovery from addiction opens the door to possibilities that just don’t exist when a person remains in the grips of an addiction.

Essential Keys to Successful Rehabilitation

Treatment for alcohol and drug addictions is an ongoing process that strengthens a person’s resolve to remain drug-free for the long haul. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, a successful recovery process follows certain key principles regarding a person’s treatment needs:

  • Drug treatment programs must address the problem issues in a person’s life as well as their addiction to drugs.
  • Remaining in treatment for the needed period of time is essential to a successful recovery process.
  • An effective treatment program treats the physical and mental components that feed a person’s addiction.
  • Effective treatment programs can adapt to and work with the changes a person goes through as they progress in the program.
