Rose Rock Recovery Center

Strengths: Focus on source of problems and not the negative coping mechanisms we were abusing. Specifically focused on woman's issues. Weaknesses: No sugar or pop.It is a long term 3-6 month program where you and your fellow clients will work together to help and keep each other accountable. The facilitators and counselors are genuine honest woman who are in recovery themselves and truly care about helping.

William Nevadomski

Co-Founder Harmony Recovery Center

After a long battle with addiction to opiates and prescription drugs during his teenage years and early 20s, William went through state-funded treatment programs. After two episodes of treatment, he started living a clean life in February 2014, helped by the NA community and his desire and willingness to follow a program and change his life. William began working in the treatment field as a house manager for a sober living home. This allowed him to start to fulfill what he sees as his destiny, helping others in any way he could through their struggles that he went through himself and overcame. His journey continued, and through his compassion, ethical standards and care for the needy, he evolved in the field and earned the opportunity to grow through a position in the admissions department at White Sands Treatment Center. He maintained this position for over a year. Another opportunity came his way when Delphi Health Group offered him a position in the admissions department, which he took and evolved in for over a year, after which he joined the team at Harmony Recovery Center's sister-facility Recovery In Tune in Florida. After working in the admissions department for Recovery In Tune for over a year, William transitioned to the Harmony Recovery Group team as Business Development Director and Co-Founded Harmony Recovery Center. William has become a vital part of the program, using his personal and professional experience and knowledge to help and guide those in the program and educate the community about the program.

View Moorhead Rehabilitation Facilities Moorhead drug rehab programs are there to help people regain control of their lives from drug and alcohol addictions. Drug addiction can drive a person to do unthinkable acts, such as the attempted drug-burglary carried out by an in-home nursing assistant in Moorhead, according to the InForum news site.

Drug treatment gives a person an alternative to living under the control of addiction.

What's Different Between Holistic and Traditional Rehab Treatment?

Drug rehabilitation treatment involves helping a person change their lifestyle from one that centers around drugs to one that is productive and well-rounded. Holistic and traditional approaches to rehab treatment focus on different aspects of the person throughout the treatment process. Traditional rehab works primarily on the body and mind using detoxification and therapy methods throughout. Holistic programs place an emphasis on developing the mind, body and spirit in equal measures. While traditional programs often include spiritual development in the form of 12-step programs, the holistic treatment approach emphasizes all aspects of the "whole person" approach at each stage of treatment.

Types of Medication Therapies

The use of prescription medications is one of the things that differentiate traditional treatment programs from holistic programs. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the type of addiction being treated determines the type of prescription medications used during different stages of treatment. Some of the medications used include:

  • Methadone and naltrexone for treating opioid addictions during the detox stage
  • Disulfiram and acamprosate for treating alcohol dependence during the detox stage
  • Antidepressant and anti-anxiety medications for treating depression and anxiety disorders, used throughout the treatment program
  • A combination of different medication types in cases where a person suffers from multiple addictions
