Discovery Point Retreat

This was the first rehab that I went to and I am glad to say that this will probably be my last. It was great that this facility had detox and all the other levels of care since many of my friends had to go to 2 separate places. It was really a comfortable and enjoyable place to be at.

Through his many opportunities working in health care, Kevin has developed the understanding that addiction is a disease that needs to be treated with time, care, and understanding. For some people, the decision to enter an alcohol treatment program can be a difficult one. You may vacillate for weeks, months or even years thinking you can handle things on your own. Before entering a Napa treatment center, ask yourself how your substance abuse is affecting your life. Oftentimes, the effects of substance abuse can sneak up on a person, with everyone else seeming to know there’s a problem before you do.

*Is Substance Abuse Affecting Your Marriage?

When you took your vows, it may never have occurred to you that something like alcohol or drug abuse could come between you. Some signs that substance abuse is affecting your marriage are:

  • Frequent arguments
  • Non-existent communication
  • Financial problems
  • Loss of employment
  • Infidelity

When the non-drinking spouse cannot “keep up” with their partner, the partner may choose to find another alcoholic of the opposite sex to spend time with.
