Rose Rock Recovery Center

Strengths: Focus on source of problems and not the negative coping mechanisms we were abusing. Specifically focused on woman's issues. Weaknesses: No sugar or pop.It is a long term 3-6 month program where you and your fellow clients will work together to help and keep each other accountable. The facilitators and counselors are genuine honest woman who are in recovery themselves and truly care about helping.

William Nevadomski

Co-Founder Harmony Recovery Center

After a long battle with addiction to opiates and prescription drugs during his teenage years and early 20s, William went through state-funded treatment programs. After two episodes of treatment, he started living a clean life in February 2014, helped by the NA community and his desire and willingness to follow a program and change his life. William began working in the treatment field as a house manager for a sober living home. This allowed him to start to fulfill what he sees as his destiny, helping others in any way he could through their struggles that he went through himself and overcame. His journey continued, and through his compassion, ethical standards and care for the needy, he evolved in the field and earned the opportunity to grow through a position in the admissions department at White Sands Treatment Center. He maintained this position for over a year. Another opportunity came his way when Delphi Health Group offered him a position in the admissions department, which he took and evolved in for over a year, after which he joined the team at Harmony Recovery Center's sister-facility Recovery In Tune in Florida. After working in the admissions department for Recovery In Tune for over a year, William transitioned to the Harmony Recovery Group team as Business Development Director and Co-Founded Harmony Recovery Center. William has become a vital part of the program, using his personal and professional experience and knowledge to help and guide those in the program and educate the community about the program.

Does a Loved One Need Dual Diagnosis Facilities?

According to the National Comorbidity Survey, those with schizophrenia were four times as likely to have a drug abuse problem as the general population, and those with bipolar disorder were five times as likely to be addicted. If your loved one needs treatment for an addiction and an underlying mental health disorder, options for recovery services include:

  • Residential treatment: A patient will live and be treated on site. Treatment includes mental health counseling, medication assisted treatment, and group therapy.
  • Outpatient therapy: In these programs, patients attend therapy during the day and return home in the evening.
  • Group sessions: For ongoing care after treatment is complete, group therapy has proven successful. These meetings happen several times per week, and the patient has the ability to contact professionals when they feel they need it.
Addiction in Retirement Age

The city of Iberia is actively courting retirees, as they can bring retirement funds and stability to a community. However, addiction treatment of the elderly can prove different from other services. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration, key considerations when treating the elderly include:

  • The need for transportation assistance
  • Lack of quality support systems, such as spouses
  • Economic disparities
  • Inadequate health insurance coverage
