Discovery Point Retreat

They Accomadated every need for My Son from Day he made his decision to seek help. He flew to Texas and was picked up at the airport by staff. I was allowed to see him the very next day, visitation were just about over but they let us have a visit anyways. Rooms are spacious and may not be a facility as someone stated but the House is Large, spacious, clean, and just has that home, secure, quiet, inviting feel. The are is perfect quiet and serene. Therapy and couseling on site my son loved everything about the way the had control of everything that was in his best interest. The staff, The Chef, The People i always knew how his progress was coming along and even included in therapy sessions. My son understand about addiction, the triggers, the control and the reason and maintains his sobriety, contact with others that were also in treatment with him, He considers all of them as family. Everyone there made him feel so comfortable, important and loved. At check out it took us all day for him to get everything together because he was truly going to miss Everything and Everyone, ( The Food) The outings, The Therapy, The couseling . The Owners, Management, The Staff I commend on The excellent job they are doing The are all Truly a Blessing. Strengths: Their knowledge in all areas of helping everyone. Knowing exactly what each persons individual needs are from The addiction ,the emotional, therapeutic, dietary. Weakness: Sober Living facility. I think my son was probably sent to the worst one. Was told he had to have a job within 2 weeks or going to be kicked out while another individual was there before him, still there and still unemployed. My son working 3rd shift going to sleep at 6 a.m. was woken up anyways for meditation at 7 even though he just worked at 12 hour shifts ( inconsiderate) people were eating his groceries. And managers of the house had dogs and dog hair everywhere and were offended that he mention about the dogs being all over furniture. Cardinal House of Dalls/Garland definitely Not recommended and was really in awe that Discovery Point Retreat would even be affiliated with a place like that. That would be the only negative on them with me.

Searching for Norwalk Treatment Centers
Located on the north shore of Long Island Sound, Norwalk, Connecticut is considered to be part of the New York City metro region. It is an upscale community, but not immune from the social consequences of drug abuse. While major drug arrests often involve illegal narcotics such as cocaine, many cases also involve prescription drugs that include painkillers and steroids.

Addiction is no respecter of social or economic status; it affects the wealthy and powerful as much as it does the poor and downtrodden – and everyone in between.

Fortunately, there is help available for everyone in Norwalk, CA who is willing to admit they have a problem.

Tips on Going to a Rehabilitation Center

Although you may acknowledge your addiction, the idea of undergoing rehabilitation can be frightening. However, knowledge is power. The more one can learn about your options, the less fear one has to deal with. Here are some things to look for:

  • Accreditation: Such facilities are more apt to have the most qualified professionals on staff.
  • Options: You may or may not require medication – but this option should be available.
  • Post-recovery support: Recovery is an ongoing process, and one may need additional help.
  • Cleanliness: The way a facility is maintained is a good indicator of the quality of its services.

What Will It Cost?

Many medical insurance plans cover at least part of the cost of drug or alcohol rehabilitation. However, not all do – meaning you will ultimately bear all costs of treatment, which can continue for as long as four to 12 weeks for many inpatients. The good news is that under the Affordable Care Act, funding for community-based treatment programs will be expanded and all insurers will be required to provide some benefits in this regard.
