Discovery Point Retreat

They Accomadated every need for My Son from Day he made his decision to seek help. He flew to Texas and was picked up at the airport by staff. I was allowed to see him the very next day, visitation were just about over but they let us have a visit anyways. Rooms are spacious and may not be a facility as someone stated but the House is Large, spacious, clean, and just has that home, secure, quiet, inviting feel. The are is perfect quiet and serene. Therapy and couseling on site my son loved everything about the way the had control of everything that was in his best interest. The staff, The Chef, The People i always knew how his progress was coming along and even included in therapy sessions. My son understand about addiction, the triggers, the control and the reason and maintains his sobriety, contact with others that were also in treatment with him, He considers all of them as family. Everyone there made him feel so comfortable, important and loved. At check out it took us all day for him to get everything together because he was truly going to miss Everything and Everyone, ( The Food) The outings, The Therapy, The couseling . The Owners, Management, The Staff I commend on The excellent job they are doing The are all Truly a Blessing. Strengths: Their knowledge in all areas of helping everyone. Knowing exactly what each persons individual needs are from The addiction ,the emotional, therapeutic, dietary. Weakness: Sober Living facility. I think my son was probably sent to the worst one. Was told he had to have a job within 2 weeks or going to be kicked out while another individual was there before him, still there and still unemployed. My son working 3rd shift going to sleep at 6 a.m. was woken up anyways for meditation at 7 even though he just worked at 12 hour shifts ( inconsiderate) people were eating his groceries. And managers of the house had dogs and dog hair everywhere and were offended that he mention about the dogs being all over furniture. Cardinal House of Dalls/Garland definitely Not recommended and was really in awe that Discovery Point Retreat would even be affiliated with a place like that. That would be the only negative on them with me.

Rose Rock Recovery Center

Strengths: Focus on source of problems and not the negative coping mechanisms we were abusing. Specifically focused on woman's issues. Weaknesses: No sugar or pop.It is a long term 3-6 month program where you and your fellow clients will work together to help and keep each other accountable. The facilitators and counselors are genuine honest woman who are in recovery themselves and truly care about helping.

Comparing Oak Lawn Treatment Centers
Drug use rates in Illinois may be lower than the national average, but that doesn’t mean drug addiction isn’t a problem in the state. In 2007 alone, drug use led to 1,239 deaths. Reclaim your life from the stranglehold of addiction at a drug rehab in Oak Lawn.Advice on Picking a Treatment Service

Picking a drug rehab center isn’t easy. There are several factors to consider, including:

  • Cost
  • Type of program, whether inpatient or outpatient
  • Quality and extent of medical help available
  • Distance of the treatment center from home
  • Quality and amount of psychological support available in the program
  • The program’s success rate

No one likes to compromise on the quality of their medical care, but choose a program that you can afford, and one that’s close enough to home to make traveling there feasible. Your insurance may cover some or all of the cost.

The detox period from alcohol or drugs can be a medically dangerous time. Pick a drug rehab program that offers medical support to help you through it.

Addiction recovery never ends; it’s a lifelong process. Look for ongoing recovery support.

Inpatient or Outpatient recovery program?

Which is best for you, an inpatient or outpatient program? If you have a lot of support from your loved ones, have a short-lived addiction, and live close to the treatment center, consider an outpatient program. If your treatment center is far from home, you have a long-standing or severe addiction, or you don’t have a lot of family support, consider an inpatient program.
