Paramount Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab Facilities

Were drinking and drug use part of your teen years? Did you have a few drinks, or experiment with marijuana or other drugs while you were in high school? For many adults in the city of Paramount and throughout California, the notion that some level of drug and alcohol use is normal for teenagers prevails, and many do not see it as a problem when their children, nieces and nephews, or grandchildren are found to be drinking or getting high. The fact is, however, that even experimental drug and alcohol use can set adolescents on the path to substance abuse and addiction.

One in 3 young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 in Los Angeles County report past-month binge drinking.1 That is 34.4% of young adults in the county who are at increased risk of getting into an alcohol-related car crash or developing an alcohol use disorder. People who develop a drinking problem early in life limit their opportunities for professional and relationship development. They may also be more susceptible to developing a substance abuse problem with illicit drugs like marijuana, cocaine, or methamphetamine.

If there is a young person in your life who is struggling to moderate their drinking or drug use, you can help them find the addiction treatment they need by speaking with a treatment advisor or browsing facility directories to identify the best possible rehab program for their needs.

Rose Rock Recovery Center

Strengths: Focus on source of problems and not the negative coping mechanisms we were abusing. Specifically focused on woman's issues. Weaknesses: No sugar or pop.It is a long term 3-6 month program where you and your fellow clients will work together to help and keep each other accountable. The facilitators and counselors are genuine honest woman who are in recovery themselves and truly care about helping.

Patel Ranjan PSY.D- MFT

Been doing telemedicine with her for a while, and due to finances, I wanted very short term therapy and though I tried to pin her down on how many sessions I'd need, she refused to give me that, which looking back, I understand. Lucky for me, I was in and out in eight visits, which my work covered partially. I was initially on the fence about seeing her because of her fee (she's more expensive than the other therapist I checked with), but I went with my gut because when I talked to her over the phone, she not only took her time and spent as long as I needed, for free, but she actively told me that she encouraged me to reach out to other therapists so I wouldn't haveI've to pay more than I'm comfortable with, she gave me some referrals. But I decided to see her and it's been worth it; she gives assignments and structure because I asked for it, and also talked to my psychiatrist, which helped me feel like I have a team.

Deciding on treatment options for your addiction will affect most aspects of your life, so understanding how severe your addiction is will play a vital role in the recovery process. If you are not sure if your substance abuse qualifies as an addiction, Narcotics Anonymous recommends the following questions to narrow down your search:

  • Have I had success in past addiction treatment programs?
  • Have I had issues with my employer or job performance?
  • Does my family have a history of substance abuse or mental illness?
  • Is there a possibility that I have underlying mental health conditions that may affect my recovery?
  • Is my addiction controlling my life?

*Is Treatment Affordable?

Paramount drug treatment programs will give you important tools with which to beat your addiction. However, treatment can be expensive if you do not have coverage in place for these services.

  • Mandated insurance. Your health clinic or local Medicare or Medi-Cal offices will be able to give you information on how to qualify and apply for services. These programs typically have coverage for addiction treatment and mental health services.
  • Professional studies: Universities have students who need to build their counseling hours, so you may be able to work on some mental health or addiction issues with them at a significantly reduced fee, or even for free. You may need to fill out forms or track your progress to continue to qualify for coverage. Contact your local university for more information.
  • Commercial insurance. If you have a job, you may qualify for employee-sponsored insurance, which often has addiction or substance abuse coverage.
  • Out-of-pocket payments. Many recovery service centers give patients the option to pay cash for services, with a hefty discount as they do not have to deal with insurance companies. You can discuss these discounts up front, before services begin, to make sure you get the best care for your money.
