Feeling compelled to help those battling addiction, including the ever-growing opioid epidemic, she completed training for suboxone treatment of opioid-use disorder and pursued a career in the recovery industry. She is also a strong proponent of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), a cutting-edge approach for treating substance use disorders. Dr. Schibler received her M.D. degree from the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo (1990) and completed her family practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital. She is licensed by the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners.
