Latest Reviews of Rehabs in Rochester, NY
holistic approach which also addresses areas outside of addictions. old building. Great non-profit organization for people who have few options.
They Accomadated every need for My Son from Day he made his decision to seek help. He flew to Texas and was picked up at the airport by staff. I was allowed to see him the very next day, visitation were just about over but they let us have a visit anyways. Rooms are spacious and may not be a facility as someone stated but the House is Large, spacious, clean, and just has that home, secure, quiet, inviting feel. The are is perfect quiet and serene. Therapy and couseling on site my son loved everything about the way the had control of everything that was in his best interest. The staff, The Chef, The People i always knew how his progress was coming along and even included in therapy sessions. My son understand about addiction, the triggers, the control and the reason and maintains his sobriety, contact with others that were also in treatment with him, He considers all of them as family. Everyone there made him feel so comfortable, important and loved. At check out it took us all day for him to get everything together because he was truly going to miss Everything and Everyone, ( The Food) The outings, The Therapy, The couseling . The Owners, Management, The Staff I commend on The excellent job they are doing The are all Truly a Blessing. Strengths: Their knowledge in all areas of helping everyone. Knowing exactly what each persons individual needs are from The addiction ,the emotional, therapeutic, dietary. Weakness: Sober Living facility. I think my son was probably sent to the worst one. Was told he had to have a job within 2 weeks or going to be kicked out while another individual was there before him, still there and still unemployed. My son working 3rd shift going to sleep at 6 a.m. was woken up anyways for meditation at 7 even though he just worked at 12 hour shifts ( inconsiderate) people were eating his groceries. And managers of the house had dogs and dog hair everywhere and were offended that he mention about the dogs being all over furniture. Cardinal House of Dalls/Garland definitely Not recommended and was really in awe that Discovery Point Retreat would even be affiliated with a place like that. That would be the only negative on them with me.
They have a wide assortment of fitness classes, kind and compassionate staff, fair visitation policies and telephone call opportunities. Could be better staffed, while my loved one was cared for well enough, they could have used more employees on shift. The staff was patient and caring while dealing with our loved one.

More InformationFacts About Rochester Rehabilitation Centers There are many misconceptions about drug rehab in Rochester, or any other major city for that matter. For example, you might believe that rehab centers only want to help you detoxify, and then you'll be left alone to maintain that sobriety. Or, you might think these programs are designed to punish you for the things you've done during the course of your addiction.
If you learn more about how Rochester rehab programs work, however, you might find that these programs really can make a difference in helping you overcome your addiction. The Need for Being Admitted Into a Treatment Program
As your addiction has moved forward, it's likely become a regular, routine part of your life. Just as you need to eat and drink in order to survive, your brain might tell you that you need to take drugs in order to feel normal. When you're under the influence all of the time in this way, you could make disastrous decisions, and people do this each day. For example, a study in Rochester found that 2.7 percent of those injured in automobile accidents and 32 percent of those injured in motorcycle accidents tested positive for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. Driving under the influence could land you in the hospital, or the behavior could get you in trouble with law enforcement, but it might seem like a reasonable activity when you're in the grips of an addiction. Rehab can help. A rehab program is designed to help you:
- Break free from daily use of drugs and alcohol
- Learn about the addiction process
- Understand your role in keeping a relapse at bay
- Develop skills you'll need to maintain your sobriety
With this help, your life might change dramatically, and you might be free of an addiction for the first time in a long time.Care Is Private
Tabloids often love to publish details about the rich and famous and the amount of time these people spend in treatment centers for their addictions. While you might not be famous, these stories still might make you worry that your employer, your friends or your family members will learn about your addictions when you check into rehab. Don't worry. Your information will always be kept confidential.Find Treatment Services in Rochester
