Discovery Point Retreat

They Accomadated every need for My Son from Day he made his decision to seek help. He flew to Texas and was picked up at the airport by staff. I was allowed to see him the very next day, visitation were just about over but they let us have a visit anyways. Rooms are spacious and may not be a facility as someone stated but the House is Large, spacious, clean, and just has that home, secure, quiet, inviting feel. The are is perfect quiet and serene. Therapy and couseling on site my son loved everything about the way the had control of everything that was in his best interest. The staff, The Chef, The People i always knew how his progress was coming along and even included in therapy sessions. My son understand about addiction, the triggers, the control and the reason and maintains his sobriety, contact with others that were also in treatment with him, He considers all of them as family. Everyone there made him feel so comfortable, important and loved. At check out it took us all day for him to get everything together because he was truly going to miss Everything and Everyone, ( The Food) The outings, The Therapy, The couseling . The Owners, Management, The Staff I commend on The excellent job they are doing The are all Truly a Blessing. Strengths: Their knowledge in all areas of helping everyone. Knowing exactly what each persons individual needs are from The addiction ,the emotional, therapeutic, dietary. Weakness: Sober Living facility. I think my son was probably sent to the worst one. Was told he had to have a job within 2 weeks or going to be kicked out while another individual was there before him, still there and still unemployed. My son working 3rd shift going to sleep at 6 a.m. was woken up anyways for meditation at 7 even though he just worked at 12 hour shifts ( inconsiderate) people were eating his groceries. And managers of the house had dogs and dog hair everywhere and were offended that he mention about the dogs being all over furniture. Cardinal House of Dalls/Garland definitely Not recommended and was really in awe that Discovery Point Retreat would even be affiliated with a place like that. That would be the only negative on them with me.

Explore Roseville Treatment Centers
Drugs and alcohol have always been an ever-present refuge for people wanting to escape from the pains and pressures of everyday life. Roseville drug rehab centers provide an alternative option for those seeking a healthy, hopeful outlook on life. According to the Michigan House of Representatives site, the effects of the 2008 economic crisis saw a 13.6 percent Michigan unemployment rate compared to the national rate of 9.3 percent.

While the escape afforded through drugs and alcohol may make dire circumstances seem less threatening, drug treatment help can give you the clear-headed perspective needed to cope with life’s challenges.

Determining the Cost of Rehab Programs

Rehab programs can vary in cost just like any other kind of treatment or service. Some programs offer luxurious accommodations, such as a lavish location along the beach and spa services while others may focus specifically on treating the issues surrounding a person’s addiction. Ultimately, a person’s financial situation will determine the type of program afforded, though assistance from public and community agencies may also be available for those with lesser means. In the long run, the true cost of not getting the help you need may hold more weight than the actual financial costs involved.

Drug Treatment Program Goals

Oftentimes, addiction can develop as a way for a person to deal with life stressors and challenges. Drug treatment approaches work to provide the tools needed to handle daily life without drugs. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, behavioral treatment approaches used in treatment programs should help a person to:

  • Develop a realistic perspective on the effects of drugs and alcohol in a person’s life
  • Provide people with the coping skills needed to function in everyday life without drugs
  • Build healthy habits and routines into a person’s everyday lifestyle
  • Learn to communicate thoughts and feelings in a non-destructive manner
