Rose Rock Recovery Center

Strengths: Focus on source of problems and not the negative coping mechanisms we were abusing. Specifically focused on woman's issues. Weaknesses: No sugar or pop.It is a long term 3-6 month program where you and your fellow clients will work together to help and keep each other accountable. The facilitators and counselors are genuine honest woman who are in recovery themselves and truly care about helping.

Clinical Director Midwest Recovery Centers

Kevin has been involved in the field of drug and alcohol counseling for over 10 years. Growing up in Georgia, addiction was prevalent in his own household. After his own battle with drugs and alcohol as a young man, he found a natural passion to help others find a way to break away from the misery of drugs and alcohol dependence. This passion prompted Kevin to begin a career studying and understanding the various techniques in which to approach and treat patients with drug dependence. Through his many opportunities working in health care, Kevin has developed the understanding that addiction is a disease that needs to be treated with time, care, and understanding. As a member of long-term recovery himself, Kevin is able to promote the values of honesty and integrity in his daily practice.

Locate Taylor Treatment Clinics
Taylor addiction treatment programs provide a vital service for anyone caught in the grips of an addiction problem. During tough economic times, issues such as unemployment and home foreclosures can take a toll on a person’s ability to cope and function in everyday life.

Locating a treatment program may be the best first step you can make towards regaining control of your life.

Questions to Get Answered Before Going to Rehabilitation

As of January 2012, nearly one out of every 10 Michigan residents is out of work, according to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. These conditions can drive a person to escape into drugs and alcohol as a way to cope. Under these circumstances, someone entering drug rehabilitation may have questions about what happens after they complete the program. Recovering from drug addiction is a process that requires ongoing work. Treatment center staff members typically draw up a treatment plan that maps out the steps you’ll take to stay off drugs. Sometimes this will include attending individual therapy on a regular basis or attending AA or NA meetings.

Emergency Room Visits Resulting from Methamphetamine Drug Combinations

Drugs, such as methamphetamine can be particularly dangerous in terms of the likelihood of overdosing or taking too much of the drug. Statistics from 2008 from the U. S. Department of Health & Human Services show the number of emergency room visits caused by methamphetamine overdoses and the combination drugs used along with methamphetamine:

  • 66,308 emergency room admissions resulting from methamphetamine overdose
  • 27.6 percent of the people admitted used one other drug with methamphetamines
  • 34.2 percent of the people admitted used two other drugs with methamphetamines
  • 25 percent of the people admitted consumed alcohol and methamphetamine
  • 23 percent of admissions consumed marijuana and methamphetamines
