Patel Ranjan PSY.D- MFT

Been doing telemedicine with her for a while, and due to finances, I wanted very short term therapy and though I tried to pin her down on how many sessions I'd need, she refused to give me that, which looking back, I understand. Lucky for me, I was in and out in eight visits, which my work covered partially. I was initially on the fence about seeing her because of her fee (she's more expensive than the other therapist I checked with), but I went with my gut because when I talked to her over the phone, she not only took her time and spent as long as I needed, for free, but she actively told me that she encouraged me to reach out to other therapists so I wouldn't haveI've to pay more than I'm comfortable with, she gave me some referrals. But I decided to see her and it's been worth it; she gives assignments and structure because I asked for it, and also talked to my psychiatrist, which helped me feel like I have a team.

An Overview on Westfield Rehabilitation Facilities
As part of the Springfield metropolitan area, the city of Westfield has access to the conveniences and services of a much larger urban community. The best Westfield drug rehab centers draw from clinical research in addiction therapy to devise comprehensive treatment programs for their clients.

An overview of recovery resources in Westfield will show you that you have a number of effective treatment strategies to choose from.

The Difference Between Inpatient and Outpatient Facilities

Outpatient treatment and inpatient rehabilitation are both effective approaches to addiction therapy. One of the most important features of a successful drug rehab program, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), is the duration of treatment. The NIDA reports that a treatment period of at least 90 days is needed to reinforce the principles of therapy and teach patients how to deal with the stresses of life when they’re back to their former environment. Because retaining patients in rehab programs is another key concern, the program should accommodate the patient’s real-world needs as much as possible.

Is Outpatient recovery program Treatment Right for Me?

The type of treatment that’s right for you will depend largely on the severity of your addiction. In general, you may be a good candidate for an outpatient facility if you meet these criteria:

  • You don’t need to go through medical detoxification under a doctor’s supervision.
  • You’re highly motivated to attend counseling sessions and group therapy meetings.
  • You have adequate transportation and childcare, or you’re able to arrange these services through the rehab facility.
  • You need to remain at home while you’re going through rehabilitation.

What to Ask Before Entering Rehab in Westfield

Before you enroll in a recovery facility, ask a representative about the length and cost of the program, completion rates and outcomes. A Westfield treatment center should be willing to give you the information you need to make an educated decision about rehab.
