Latest Reviews of Rehabs in Vermont

Recovery House, Inc. - Serenity House

I felt very safe and comfortable at this treatment facility. I had to go there 3xs for 21 day stays to help me with alcoholism. All of it was helpful to me, the staff is very respectful and understanding. I have been able to stay sober for 6 months again and my life has improved so much. Rehabs are excellent, they are the first step to getting help for yourself and knowing you're not alone and how to cope with life without using drugs or drinking

Teen Challenge Vermont

That program definitely provided me with the inability to practice apologetics in ways that shouldn't confuse me or anyone who may ease drop on my parTy of one light sessions. I have so much built up frustration not so much at anyone in particular but at myself for not fully grasping the concept and really taking in that fullness offered there when i had a chance. I love Teen Challenge VT and at times CT (not a fan of change) but CT backwards wont regardless completely change anyways. Anyways, back to this. So from my overall experience from surviving that challenge in life i have discovered that no church is perfect and those that seem to not need the help from god or anyone else they might just be one of them Care-fakers, in time the Care-fakers fade out and more Care-Takers step in. Yall have good seasons and more then enough reasons to keep on believing.

About Vermont

Vermont, located in the northeastern region of the United States, is known for its picturesque natural beauty, diverse culture, and strong sense of community. With a population of just over 600,000,1 it is one of the smallest states in terms of population. However, Vermont boasts a wealth of attributes that make it a desirable place to live, work, and visit.

The state is characterized by its rolling green hills, dense forests, and pristine lakes, which provide ample opportunities for outdoor recreation such as skiing, hiking, and fishing. Vermont is also renowned for its rich cultural history that is reflected in its small towns and villages, which are home to a vibrant arts scene and numerous festivals throughout the year. The people of Vermont are known for their friendly and welcoming nature, and a strong sense of community is evident throughout the state.

Addiction in Vermont

Substance misuse and addiction is, unfortunately, a growing problem in Vermont. According to the Vermont Department of Health, the state has one of the highest rates of substance use in the United States, with elevated rates of alcohol consumption, cannabis use, and heroin use among individuals aged 18-25.2

From 2017 to 2019, Vermont had an average annual prevalence rate of 10.3% (equivalent to 56,000 residents) who experienced substance use disorder in the past year, which was significantly higher than the national average of 7.4%.3

Sadly, substance misuse in the state seems to be increasing. In 2019, there were 133 drug overdose fatalities. By 2021, this number nearly doubled as 252 drug overdose deaths were reported in Vermont that year. 4

Addiction Treatment in Vermont

In Vermont, there are various levels of addiction treatment available to those seeking recovery. The first step for many is detox, which involves managing withdrawal symptoms in a safe and controlled environment. After detox, individuals can transition to inpatient treatment, where they live at the treatment facility and receive round-the-clock care and support. Alternatively, outpatient treatment provides a more flexible approach, allowing individuals to receive treatment while continuing to live at home.

Each level of treatment may offer different therapies and specialized treatment programs tailored to your specific needs. These programs may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, family therapy, and trauma-informed care.

If seeking a more upscale experience, luxury rehabs are available in Vermont, which offer high-end amenities such as private rooms, gourmet food, and spa services. These facilities may also provide more individualized treatment programs and additional support services.

Private-funded rehabs are also available in Vermont, which are funded through self-pay and provide high-quality care and individualized treatment plans.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

Insurance coverage for addiction treatment is typically available in Vermont, with most insurance plans covering at least some portion of the cost. When seeking addiction treatment, you should contact your insurance provider to understand your specific coverage options, including any out-of-pocket costs, co-pays, or deductibles you may be responsible for.

If you do not have insurance coverage, there are state-funded treatment centers available in Vermont. These centers provide free or low-cost addiction treatment services to individuals who meet certain eligibility criteria, such as income or residency requirements. While services may be limited compared to private treatment centers, state-funded treatment centers can still provide effective care and support.

Length of Stay in Rehab

When it comes to addiction treatment in Vermont, you can choose from a variety of program durations depending on your specific needs. The most common program lengths are 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day programs, which typically provide intensive treatment and support for you to develop coping mechanisms and strategies to maintain sobriety.

If you require a longer-term commitment to addiction treatment, there is also the option of long-term rehab. Long-term rehab programs typically last between six months to two years, depending on your treatment needs and the specific facility or program you are enrolled in. These programs provide a more extended period of support and care, allowing you to address underlying issues that may contribute to your addiction and develop lasting strategies to maintain recovery.

Recovery Starts Today

Finding the right addiction treatment in Vermont is crucial for achieving long-term recovery. Whether it’s detox, inpatient or outpatient treatment, short-term or long-term rehab, it’s essential to choose the program that best meets your specific needs. By seeking out effective and individualized care, you will increase your chances of achieving lifelong recovery from addiction.
