Dr. Boutrouille gives hope by offering a complete assessment to patient needs and treatment options. Family counseling can be crucial to allow the patient to realize that they too are loved and that help is available and will be done with love, care, concern, and comfort for the patient during his or her treatment for their affliction. Treatment does not have to hurt to be effective.

Counseling and advice is given and available for family members and significant others, who are usually the first line of defense for the patient. Even if the afflicted individual will not come for treatment, we can help the family cope with the trials and tribulations of having an addicted personality in the home. With proper counseling, over time it may be possible to convince the individual in need to come and get the help that they so desperately need to live a long, prosperous, and productive life and to learn where true values lie in family, friends, good deeds, and a love and respect for life in general.
