Banyan Treatment Center's mission is to help struggling drug addicts and alcoholics reach their goal of a healthy, happy and productive sober life through an array of treatment services provided by our licensed clinical and medical professionals.

Our drug and alcohol rehab programs provides an alternative to traditional inpatient / residential treatment or as a step down from a higher level of care. We emphasize and try to instill the importance of consistency, accountability, and responsibility along with the vital importance of a 12 step program in everybody’s daily lives to achieve the goal of permanent sobriety.

After going through his own difficulties battling the disease of addiction Bob Reynolds, Banyan's Director, spent many years working in the recovery community trying to give back by helping other suffering addicts and alcoholics. It was Bob’s vision to start an honest, clean and supportive community for people to recover in. This vision became a reality when he teamed up with a young investor who also had a passion for helping young adults gain the tools they need in order to succeed in life.

Specializations

Aftercare Support

Addiction recovery does not end with discharge after completing a rehab program. Facilities that offer aftercare planning and/or support work with patients to ensure sustainable recovery by helping to plan and make arrangements for transitional or sober living, help with housing, vocational counseling, etc.

Individual Therapy

This term describes one-on-one therapy, in which a patient and trained counselor, social worker, psychologist or psychiatrist meets privately with a patient to discuss challenges related to lifestyle, work, family and romantic relationships that may have contributed to the development of an addiction.

Client & Family Support Groups

Group therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery.

ABOUT BANYAN TREATMENT CENTER - WILMINGTON

Banyan Treatment Centers is a fast-growing network of rehabs, with 10 locations around the United States, including a detox and residential facility in Boca Raton, Florida and an outpatient center in the suburbs of Chicago. The facility in the north Boston suburb of Wilmington offers outpatient care at a variety of intensities, plus aftercare, for individuals struggling with substance misuse and dual diagnosis.

Medical detox is not available on-site, but clients who require detox can be referred to other facilities within the Banyan network.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Upon intake, an initial assessment is used to determine the most appropriate course of treatment. Treatment at Banyan combines 12-step programming with evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), plus some holistic therapies such as biosound therapy and music therapy.

Therapies are available in individual, group, and family settings. For clients who need medications to help them stay sober, the facility uses the opioid antagonist Vivitrol (which is used at 34.8 percent of Massachusetts-based rehabs).

The most intensive level of care at the center is its partial hospitalization program (PHP), which is offered at 9.1 percent of Massachusetts-based facilities. Consisting of at least 25 hours a week of programming, PHP includes vocational counseling, life skills coaching, and medical assessments, as well as treatment for addiction and identification and treatment of any co-occurring disorders.

An intensive outpatient program (IOP, offered at 19.7 percent of Massachusetts-based facilities) meets for at least nine hours a week, with programming available five days a week. Offered as either entry-level or step-down care, IOP clients focus in particular on relapse prevention and long-term recovery.

Clients on the standard outpatient track attend at least 90 minutes of treatment per week. And on graduation, all clients are invited to join the Banyan alumni network, which connects them to Banyan graduates around the country. For any client who relapses, Banyan also offers a stabilization program, which involves a 14-day immersion at the PHP level, followed by continued treatment at an appropriate level.

There is also dedicated programming at all intensities — PHP, IOP, and general outpatient — for professionals. These programs emphasize privacy, smooth transitions to and from treatment, and 24/7 support.
