Pasadena Recovery Center Philosophy

Pasadena Recovery Center offers a comprehensive substance abuse treatment program based on the 12-Step philosophy. The goal of this residential rehab is to
reintroduce sober individuals into society with the skills necessary to lead meaningful, productive and drug-free lives. A compassionate team of physicians, psychologists and drug counselors work closely with each client to ensure that the spiritual, mental and physical needs of each individual are met.

Areas of Specialization

  • Marijuana Addiction
At Pasadena Recovery Center, our dedicated staff understands the disease of addiction and we’re proud to offer lifesaving treatment at an affordable cost. Our goal is to reintroduce sober individuals into society with the skills necessary to lead meaningful, productive lives, through a compassionate and comprehensive treatment program.

  • Methamphetamine Addiction
Methamphetamine addicts suffer severe physical addiction along with psychological disorders resulting from the destruction of the dopamine center in the brain. Detoxification from meth – otherwise known as crystal, ice, speed, glass, chalk or crank – requires medical attention both for physical comfort and for the resulting low period from methamphetamine withdrawal. It can take days, weeks, even months for the brain to function normally after methamphetamines are taken away.

ABOUT PASADENA RECOVERY CENTER

Founded in 2000 and located in the foothills just north of Los Angeles, the Pasadena Recovery Center is a substance abuse treatment center offering inpatient care, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and traditional outpatient programs (OP) for adults. The facility also offers on-site detox services and dual diagnosis treatment.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Pasadena Recovery Center's detox center offers 24-hour medical supervision and medication management for clients undergoing detox. Detox treatment is specified for alcohol and opioid addictions, and clients begin individual therapy during the process.

Following detox, inpatient treatment is an individualized, comprehensive 12-step treatment program. Treatment consists of individual and group therapy, as well as relapse prevention services, life skills training, and trauma therapy. Individuals and families are encouraged to work together to create a suitable home recovery environment. Group topics include anger management, grief, and loss.

Along with traditional treatment approaches, clients also participate in a range of alternative activities, including yoga, acupuncture, massages, music therapy, nature walks, and participating in a softball league.

IOP treatment occurs three days per week and includes individual and group therapy. OP treatment includes five or fewer hours of clinical treatment per week and addresses topics such as family communication, anxiety, and relapse prevention. Clients are generally recommended to progress from detox to inpatient care to outpatient treatment during early recovery, depending on their recovery needs.

Pasadena Recovery Center saved my life. Three years ago, they gave me an opportunity to get sober. And I’m still sober today. Their staff, clinical team, and support staff made all the difference. I’ve been to probably 6-7 rehabs over the past 11 years, this time it stuck. Thank you PRC for being such an awesome place. I’m grateful to be an alumni.

Alot of my friends went to PRC. They are still sober today. This is probably one of the only places I would ever recommend if someone was asking for help with addiction.

This was my first recovery center. After being through recovery a second time I understand what Pasadena Recovery Center was not successful. This facility does not approach addiction and recovery seriously enough. Pasadena Recovery needs to revamp their program. Do yourself a favor and find a facility that prides themselves on results, separates men and women, and sets high expectations. If only I knew then what I know now Pasadena Recovery would NOT have been a consideration.

Please DO NOT go to this facility for treatment. If you think it is affiliated with Dr. Drew, you are wrong. They are deceptive. Their sole purpose is to make money off people's misfortunes. I thought I was sending my loved one to a safe, clean and effective facility. Not only is the physical shape of the building and the rooms in much needed repair, it is filthy. It is no wonder they don't allow family members in the rooms of patients. Several people got sick here after only a few days. People go through withdrawals in rooms with no AC. It's like a prison. People who have no addiction issues are sent here on court orders. There are criminals at this facility. They don't allow patients to lock their doors and their belongings. There is no encouragement for physical activity so everyone resorts to heavy chain smoking. The facility is severely understaffed. The owner of this facility and his extreme lack of care shows. They've owed me thousands of dollars for several months because my family member decided to leave this dump and they have yet to pay me back. This place needs to be shut down. Please do not go here to seek treatment.

PRC is a scam. They'll drain your bank account until you have nothing left. The owner... he'll lie to you and your family telling you what you want to hear... The food is absolutely foul, the place is ran down and dirty the staff are all unprofessional. Stay far away from this place... After they get your money they kick you out for no reason.

support of staff was great but they're too image conscious. it works f you let it

The owner of this place is a complete awful person. He ran a crooked business... He rips people off with fees on top of what is billed to insurance. Many complaints about the deterioration of this facility. The only positive is one woman in particular, unfortunately she isn't running the place. Desperation is the only reason people go here. Checkout the I positive reviews on many sites. Sadly they aren't good.

My first(& God Wiling the last and only) attempt at recovery. Stayed for 30 days during the Summer that just passed, detoxified and begun the rehabilitation process for heavy drug abuse of Heroin & Meth. Client Rooms are comfortable with majority being double rooms shared by 2 clients but for the more private clients, single rooms are offered at a little bit of a higher cost. Facility is not the most luxurious but is pretty big. The counselours & staff are all really good people and truly care for each clients successful recovery. Food & entertainment(for free time) were satisfying. Not recommended for someone who isn't comfortable being around many people, at the time of my stay there were roughly 38-40 co-ed clients staying at PRC. Overall good place and got the job done for me.
