This passion prompted Kevin to begin a career studying and understanding the various techniques in which to approach and treat patients with drug dependence. Through his many opportunities working in health care, Kevin has developed the understanding that addiction is a disease that needs to be treated with time, care, and understanding. As a member of long-term recovery himself, Kevin is able to promote the values of honesty and integrity in his daily practice.

Exploring Hemet Treatment Centers
You may not be surprised that Hemet Congresswoman Mary Bono is spearheading a campaign against prescription drug abuse. According to Bono, improper use of prescription drugs is getting worse. Couple this trend with the sustaining problems caused by cocaine, meth amphetamines, heroine and alcohol use, and there is a chance that someone you know is dealing with an addiction. What Needs to Be Addressed Before Entering Rehabilitation?

Getting help from a Hemet drug treatment center is a courageous step. The US National Institute of Health encourages you to do this prior to rehab:

  • Make sure the program is personalized to the patient.
  • Find out if the treatment/program is adaptable to changing needs.
  • Know how long the program lasts.
  • Ask if and how the 12 steps of recovery fit in.

Police Offer a Grim Outlook

Hemet police cite disturbing statistics on drug and alcohol abuse:

  • City police say that there has been an increase in the abuse of illegal substances.
  • In 2011, 259 people were arrested for a DUI.
  • DUIs caused 45 injuries and one death in 2011.
